Voice over IP (or VOIP) is a protocol that allows telephone conversations to take place over a TCP/IP network (i.e. the Internet). You can also call from PC-to-phone or phone-to-PC using VOIP capable software.

voip is a well used protocal in it industry at present.
It is very useful for industry people like call centers.
It is very cheper than ordinary telephone calls.It works on Internet or dedicated Foc lines.Through this only present BPO call centers are working.
It works on TCP/IP technology and it sends voice packets transfer through internet make a separate virtual tunnel in internet to the sencond end.So the voice is clear and secure.It is very worthfull to make a call one country to country.Today even small companys using this technology.
